This event is an evening to celebrate members of our community, who through their actions and efforts represent Mandell's definition of good citizenship. This event honors those members of our community that inspire and remind us how much we are capable of. In 2009 we honored seventeen parents who volunteered at such organizations as NYC Outward Bound, Student Sponsor Partners, The Child Center of New York, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, and the Gouverneur Hospital.

We also honored a parent that had served as a surgeon in the Iraq war, and the founder of Windows for Widows, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support to Egyptian widows and their families. In addition, this event includes an online auction that serves as a fundraiser for the Mandell School Scholarship Fund. As a result, the Mandell School Scholarship Fund was able to award close to $375,000 in scholarships for the 2009/2010 school year.
