Early childhood budgets for the Child Center of NY's Head Start programs were drastically cut. In response, the Mandell community hosted a drive for children's books, puzzles, educational toys and school supplies for children ages 0-5. The Child Center of NY serves 15,000 of New York's poorest children each year by operating Head Start programs to give these children a brighter future.
