Mandell first opened its doors as a neighborhood school on the Upper West Side. Since 1939, it has been an integral part of the community and a source of long cherished memories for generations of West Side families. Located on Amsterdam between 66th and 67th Streets, the Pre School opened its doors in the fall of 2012 and utilizes the entire second floor of the new Aire building.
With its clean modern design, it fits seamlessly into the culturally celebrated surrounding neighborhood. Warm colors and child sized furniture make each classroom feel welcoming and nurturing, the way a Pre School should be. Large windows and high ceilings create bright, open classrooms. This school has a library, music room and gymnasium.

Our downtown Pre School, which opened in the fall of 2013, is located in the landmark Archive building, one block from the Hudson River in the heart of the dynamic West Village.
