Mandell first opened its doors as a neighborhood school on the Upper West Side. Since 1939, it has been an integral part of the community and a source of long cherished memories for generations of West Side families. Designed specifically for children, and influenced by its surrounding neighborhood, each school reflects Mandell’s commitment to providing a nurturing educational environment for our children and their families. To ensure our high level of quality education and care, all of our classrooms are consistent with the same quality furniture, educational materials, warm colors and environmentally friendly building materials.
