The Mandell School's faculty volunteer to provide the extra help the children's librarian needs to run reading programs. A reading program for toddlers was reinstated in October 2008 due to Mandell's commitment to volunteering and continues bi-weekly today.
During the school year, The Mandell Bloomingdale Parent Committee, organize volunteer efforts. Mandell parents visit every week to shelve books or help out in any way needed in the Children's Library.
In the past Mandell has sponsored a story time with arts and crafts event for Mandell students.
Another event organized was "The Mandell Parent's Night" which featured a tour of the children's library, and personalized book suggestions for our students.
Events like these encourage our community to visit the library as well as volunteer.
