Kindergarten - 4th Grade
Availability for interviews and tours is limited. We encourage you to return your application to us as soon as possible via messenger, overnight delivery or standard mail service. Personal drop-offs will also be accepted. When your application has been received, you will be contacted by the Admissions staff to schedule a play date, interview and tour. It is mandatory for all parents to attend the parent interview and tour.
Applicants for Kindergarten must be five years old by September 1st.
The Admissions Process is a four-step process:
- A Child's Play date
- Parent Interview
- Parent Tour
- Open House
A Child's Play date
Children will take part in a playgroup with other children for half an hour. One parent or caregiver may accompany a child to the play date.
Parent Interview
On a separate date, parents will come in for a one on one meeting with a member of the Mandell staff. Both parents are required to attend the parent interview.
Parent Tour
Small group tours, guided by a current Mandell parent, are given Monday through Friday at 8:45 a.m. and last approximately one hour. They are scheduled by the Admissions Office. Both parents are required to attend the parent tour.
Open House
As part of our Admissions process, we hold an Open House in January for all families that have had or will have an interview. This event takes place in the evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and is a wonderful way to get to know the faculty, staff and parents of The Mandell School Community.
Application Requirements:
- School Report.
- Please submit the School Records Release form directly to your child's present school. All reports are confidential.Submission of the ERB is voluntary and not mandatory for admission. Family Photo consisting only of parent(s) and child applicant.
